The model shown is an example of the Model 580 Beach Shower in surface mount installation and standard steel. Most Dependable Fountains recommends specifying stainless steel for sand and beach areas. All of the nine oven baked powdercoat colors apply to both standard and stainless steel. This Model 580 features one shower head with one foot wash, and an ADA trough drinking fountain. The Model 580 is designed to direct the drain water down the inside of the shower and into a floor drain. There is no bowl, no strainer and no drain line to stop up. MDF, Inc. designed the 580 with a removable face plate for easy access. The surface mount (SM, shown) installation is designed to be anchored to a concrete pad with anchor bolts through a mounting plate that is welded to the shower tower. An optional stainless steel surface carrier is recommended for all pedestal surface mount installations. Most Dependable Fountains recommends specifying the optional SS Bolt Kit 1 when not ordering the optional stainless steel surface carrier. The supply connection stops above grade behind the access door. Access doors are standard on all pedestal 500 Series showers. SPECIFICATIONS FOR 580 SERIES FOOT & SHOWER TOWERS PEDESTAL One piece weld construction with MDF, Inc. standard 3/16" wall thickness or 304 schedule 10 Stainless Steel. SPRAY HEADS One shower and one foot spray head. VALVE Quick opening self closing valve. INSTALLATION Direct Bury (DB) showers are designed to be buried 14" in the ground, with a concrete slab to be poured around it. Surface Mount (SM) showers are designed to be anchored to a concrete slab, by means of quick bolts or concrete shields. There have been instances where the surface mount showers have been anchored to boardwalks or wooden decks. SUPPLY LINE Maintenance free reinforced 3/8" nylobraid tubing and 1/2" IPS with inlet water strainer. Supply line stops above grade. FINISH Oven baked powder coat. Choice of colors are: green, blue, brown, black, red, yellow, orange, white and chrome. Textured color choices: emerald, sapphire, pyrite, text-black, burgundy, gold vein, copper and sandstone. WEIGHT Model 580......150 lbs.
